Original Item. One-of-a-Kind. Trench art is any decorative item made by soldiers, prisoners of war, or civilians where the manufacture is directly linked to armed conflict or its consequences. It offers an insight not only to their feelings and emotions about the war, but also their surroundings and the materials they had available to them.

This is a darling little trench art lighter made to resemble a Mark V. British Landship tank. It measures 3 x 1½ x ½” when closed and has a small latch to pull out the lighter. Unfortunately the interior is covered in light oxidation and can not be used, but it is still a great custom soldier-done piece. The edges resemble the treads of a tank.  

Overall a really nice eye appealing piece of Great War Trench Art!
